On Offense
This sermon teaches that offense reveals who truly has authority in our lives—our pride or our faith. Using David’s restraint toward Saul as the central example, it challenges believers to see that spiritual maturity is not proven by retaliation, avoidance, or victimhood, but by trusting God’s justice and responding with courage and truth. Carrying bitterness and unforgiveness keeps us stuck and disqualifies us from the higher levels of leadership and purpose God has prepared for us. True maturity means refusing petty distractions, releasing the need for revenge, confronting conflict in love, and protecting our future by guarding our hearts. Ultimately, the message calls us to live as sons and daughters of the King—people who don’t react out of wounded pride but reign through surrender, trust, and obedience to God.
