Sowing Compromise, Reaping Dysfunction

Aug 9, 2026    Pastor Keith Alexander

Week 6 of “The Seed & The Soil” looks at the danger of compromise through the story of Solomon. His downfall didn’t happen all at once—it grew through small, reasonable exceptions that slowly turned his heart away from God. The message also traces how seeds of compromise can pass from one generation to the next, showing how what David tolerated became something Solomon multiplied.

At the heart of the sermon is a challenge to examine the compromises we’ve inherited, excused, or quietly permitted in our own lives. The good news is that generational patterns don’t have to continue: just because a seed was planted in you doesn’t mean it has to be harvested through you. Through obedience and the power of the Holy Spirit, one generation can choose to stop the drift and sow a legacy of faithfulness.
