Sowing in Seasons You Don't Understand
Aug 30, 2026 • Pastor Keith Alexander
Using Ruth 2 and the imagery of a seed growing beneath the soil, this message explores what it means to remain faithful when we can’t see what God is doing. Like Ruth, we may find ourselves in seasons that feel empty, dark, or uncertain, but what looks like a burial ground may actually be fertile soil where God is establishing roots and preparing a harvest. Ruth teaches us not to lay down and die, but to go to the field—to keep showing up, keep obeying, and keep sowing even without guarantees. We may not see the harvest yet, but we can trust the God who gave us the seed. Faithfulness is obedience before evidence.
