"Identity Crisis"

King Herod’s pride and egotism takes center-stage in the Christmas Story.  He put all of his royal efforts to attaining power, control, and worship from his people. But if we delve deep into Herod's history, we find that he was suffering from an identity crisis. He was compelled to try to murder a baby because he was in denial about who He truly was and who was the true King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
