In the Darkroom

Mar 8, 2026    Pastor Keith Alexander

Growth and purpose require a season of development in the dark, just like a photograph must be developed in a darkroom before the image becomes visible. God uses hidden seasons to establish our identity in Him and teach us dependence on His provision before we step into public purpose. When we rush past this process, we risk allowing culture, applause, or our own abilities to define who we are instead of the image of God imprinted on us. Jesus Himself experienced this preparation in the wilderness, where His identity and trust in the Father were tested. The darkroom seasons of life are not delays—they are where God forms the clarity, character, and dependence needed to sustain our calling.
